Went to visit the famous Russian tank in Bermundsey on Monday. Took few pics. Although must say its a shocking area, also there is loads of crap around the tank such as needles, condoms, and sh*t! Still, was interesting to see the tank and get on it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/simononly/sets/72157620785238924/ My Tank Collection Photoshttp://tankchat.freeforums.org/index.php

How dare you be about 2 mins from my house and not go for a drink with me!
Shame on you!
The Turret used to face the other way! (2 o'clock!) until 2 weeks ago!
Ah , I see, not satisfied with being ritually ( and of course, intellectually ) humiliated by Schwarzpanzer over in the King Tinger v JS2 thread , you have seen fit to intervene in this thread have you ? You have failed to spot that I was talking hypothetically but , nonetheless, factually and with a conviction born not only out of ignorance but also total recklessness for the truth.

Not sure Matey! It just Moved mysteriously! Would loved to have seen it move though. From what I heard all the hatches were meant to have been welded shut!

So what is its story and who put it there and for what reason? I bet it was some rich gay artist making a statement or it broke down on a gay pride march Place in ground, keep at arms length, light the blue touch paper and stand back!

I go on several Urbex forums and some of the pikey damage you see makes you realise that no matter how remote or unlikley, if it is not nailed down it will be stolen, and, if it is nailed down, they will steal the nails as well! Thanks for the info on the tank, hope in a way it finds a loving home. It deserves better than random pikey art.
