I went to Tankfest for the first time on Saturday and totally loved every second of it! The stand out highlight and never to be surpassed is seeing the Tiger 1 in action and being driven around the arena. Just hearing it start up was truly amazing. I took plenty of pics and some good video. The armortek tanks are esp good and they sounded better than some of the real tanks! Please check the set out on Flickr... Tankfest 2009 pics! Also, I have named most of the tanks and other vehicles but some I wasn't sure of, so if you know the names please let me know! ;-) Simon My Tank Photoshttp://tankchat.freeforums.org/index.php

I didn't go into the museum much as didn't want to miss all the outside events. Have got admission for up to a year so am planning on doing a separate trip just for the museum later in the year! My Tank Photoshttp://tankchat.freeforums.org/index.php

Hi All simononly & kenjara The Great stuff. A pity I’m unable to go to Bovington at present. We only live 18 miles from the Museum. We used to go a lot and display our models at the various weekend shows. The Southwest Model Expo used to be late September. That stopped when the redevelopment took over. Not had the opportunity to visit since the revamp hopefully will get there sometime in the next year.

Hi guys. Went to both days myself, first day did the arena, second day the museum. Highlights; Tiger (obviously) S-tank and Challenger. Had a good chat to member of SDKFZ Foundation while sat on Stug. Oh and the fit bird in lycra hot pants on saturday. i spent a fortune like a big kid in a grown up candy store. LOL.
