Are you going to be using MIG powders to weather the kitchen?

I've started work on the Hobby Boss 1/48 M4A3E8, it's not going to bad, there is some filling to do. At the end of the day it's not Tamiya so it don't go together like one but, i like it because of that. You can fill and sand until the cows come home (or you run out of plastic ).

Lower hull, just started.

More parts on.

This was the problem, the transmission/final drive where it meets the hull. As you can see the bolt's strip and drive are two parts (filler time). If you look at the box art (like i did) the bolt heads sits proud of the hull but, after looking at some close up's the hull is proud about 1 inch.
Now it looks better.

While i was waiting for the hull to go off i built the turret up. That needed filling too only this time i just used plenty of superglue and sanded that down.

Next up is the HVSS suspension bogie and track support rollers.

If it move's its a target, if it stays still its a well disciplined target.

I did mate, it's this one. I hope you're not putting it on snow, i did a few in snow and two days later Britain was in a white out lol. Models i do now are going to be warm and sunny, let see what happens then.

that looks great is that from Armortek?

I love the look of there gear but the full kit to have it shipped and customs would be way more than I could afford and still stay married.

Glad you decided to join us.

No Armortek only makes up to 1/6 scale but this is 1/4 scale, made by Mark-1.
Glad you all like my tank, he's happy now! Applause

Very nice and and he's very lucky, you'll have to buy a second tank so you can battle.

I checked out the website, good gear that tank would probably cost me about $20,000 Australian with freight

Mark-1 Tank Co UK Well worth a look.

Very nice Tiger 2 hatakshi, and welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Sorry lads, work is a bit slow on the Easy 8, i went to the model shop to get some more masking tape and £50 later, well you know how it works. But i did get some good stuff and one of the models is in 1:16 scale (but i can't till you what it is just yet though).

I know this is probably a stupid question but, Where do I get scale trees, bushes and such like? Cos if its a normal model shop I can't find any that are 1/35 scale!!!!!! Its driving me mad, as I would really like to start making scenes for my already constructed tanks...........HELP Happy

I think your best bet is to make it yourself, try www.scale-models.co.uk you'll get all the info you need there (somewhere!!)

Any model shop that sells model railways, there's one near me so i get all my trees and bushes from there.

Gaz, that forum is useless mate. It's full of nutters, there's one guy on that has no clue what he's doing, i think it Centurion3RTR.

Yep, they can be expensive but they are cool. I used one on my "October 1944, The Quiet Before The Storm" King Tiger dio.

This saves posting new pics.
